The Pakistan Navy has successfully reached another milestone in the MİLGEM project by conducting a live-fire trial with the PNS Khaibar corvette, equipped with the ADVENT combat management system developed by Turkey’s HAVELSAN.
During the exercise, the vessel demonstrated high precision in its weapons systems. In the coastal bombardment phase, the 76 mm main gun struck the target exactly at the center. The performance was then repeated by the stabilized remote-controlled STOP 25 mm system, confirming the effectiveness of the ship’s sensor suite, fire-control systems, and integrated architecture.

The MİLGEM project for Pakistan is led by the state-owned ASFAT as the main contractor, while HAVELSAN is responsible for integrating the combat systems. The first ship in the series, the PNS Babur, completed its live-fire trials in April 2024 and was officially commissioned into the Pakistani fleet the following month.
In addition to the ADVENT combat system, the corvettes are also receiving integration of the Turkish national FLEETSTAR system, a platform for onboard data distribution and management that strengthens networked command-and-control capabilities.
